Flower Festival
"Let Thine Eyes Behold"
By Knowle Flower Club with the Church Flower Guild

Message from
the Vicar of
Knowle Parish Church

Welcome to “Let Thine Eyes Behold”, a joyful celebration of beauty and creativity. It is very fitting that this flower festival should be set in a church where people have worshipped for over 600 years.

As you make your way around, you will find that the arrangements draw inspiration from the Bible and other Christian writings. Christians through the centuries have believed that you can learn something of God from the natural world. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus himself drew attention to the lilies of the field as living examples of God's care and provision. Here in this festival, the creativity of the designer and arrangers can be seen as mirroring God's original artistry in creation.

We are extremely grateful to all those from the Knowle Flower Club and the Church Flower Guild whose talents and hard work are displayed in this wonderful festival. We hope and pray that you enjoy your visit and that the arrangements help to point you beyond themselves to the Creator who is the source of all beauty.

The Reverend Canon Michael Parker

Welcome from the Chairman of Knowle Flower Club

We are delighted to work with the Church Flower Guild and are privileged to share with you our love of flowers and plant material and display our floral art in such a beautiful church.

Our festival designer Pearl Frost is well known within the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies for her design and participation in church flower festivals. She has drawn deeply on her committed Christian faith to design this wonderful festival.

We are very fortunate to have many talented members who have received much pleasure in creating these exhibits and I congratulate and thank most warmly all those who have worked so hard to plan and stage the delightful exhibits to ensure a very happy and memorable occasion for all who visit Knowle Parish Church.  I join them in hoping that you will be uplifted and inspired by Let Thine Eyes Behold.

All funds raised at this event will be given to Charity. Half of the proceeds will be given to Leukaemia Research. The remainder will be split between Knowle Parish Church's youth group's trip to Romania and a donation to Jobs Close residential home, here in Knowle,  who are upgrading their kitchen facilities later this year to meet new health and safety standards.  We hope that you will support these very worthy local and national charities.
