16 TEAMS WANTED!
Following the last six successful annual Pancake Parties Knowle Mothers' Union have been encouraged to run the Pancake Championships of 2010 on Shrove Tuesday in St John's Hall.
Church groups, families and friends are invited to enter a team of five people and to bring along supporters to cheer you on! (You may wish to consider holding heats beforehand to choose your team!) Pancakes with a variety of fillings and drinks will be served during the evening.
Tickets will be in great demand so please apply in good time. To make this easy there is a reply form overleaf.

PANCAKE RELAY RACE RULES
1, Suitable footwear, e.g. trainers, must be worn - bare feet are not allowed
2, Five members in each team (you will need a team name so
thinking caps on!)
3, Two teams in each race
4, Line up with first runner holding pan (containing pancake) and wait for the whistle to start
5, Run to the far wall and toss and catch pancake once on the way
6, Touch the wall with one hand
7, Run back and again toss and catch the pancake once before reaching the finish line
8, Give the pan to the next person standing in the line
9, Rest of the team repeats 5 to 8
Failure to fulfil any of the above and your team is a Cake pan
Cake pans cannot win!
Judges decision is final!
