 Advance Notice of
Overseas interest at Open Day: Holiday gifts from overseas will feature on a stall at the Open Day run by Birmingham Mothers' Union on Saturday 5 July at St Mary's Church, Hobs Moat. Starting with a short service at 11am, there will be a variety of stalls, displays, live music, refreshments and competitions. All welcome.

Mothers' Union on Thursday 10 July will welcome Felicity Wilson, who is currently working with Youth for Christ in the Manchester area. We are sure lots of you will want to hear her, so do come along at 1.45pm to St John's Hall.

Andy Rowlandson is leaving - come and join us in celebrating his two years here at KPC. We will be having cake after the 9.30am service on 20 July (this is Andy and Katherine's last Sunday). Contributions for a leaving gift for him should be given in to the Parish Office in a clearly marked envelope.

Reson8 weekend away: 3-5 October 2008. Put the date in your diary now!

Child Protection Training: the next Parish training event is on 8 October 2008.  However, a leaflet is available from the Parish Office giving details of Diocesan training before this date. Of the two Diocesan courses offered, the one on awareness raising is the one that is recommended as fulfilling the requirements of our Child Protection Policy.  Any Diosesan courses need to be booked. Lambeth Conference 2008: Special welcome service at the cathedral on Sunday 13 July at 4.00pm for the 6 Bishops visiting this Diocese. Prayer Focus for the conference at Evensongs on Sunday 6 July at 3.30pm and Tuesdays 1 and 8 July at 6.00pm.

Walk East Sussex Coast - this year, from 13 to 28 September. The walk offers the opportunity to serve God by speaking about your faith. For many there will be nervousness and apprehension, and to help deal with this the leaders of the Walk Mission provide comprehensive training weekends. These weekends take place around the country, the next and nearest being in Wolverhampton: Friday evening 4 April to 5pm on Saturday 5 April. Meet with Christ Tayler and the team in St John's Hall  after the 9.30am service today.

 Can you help…
We need 2 volunteers for the crèche, one for the 3rd Sunday and one for the 5th Sunday  during the 9.30am service. If you feel you can help then please contact Kay Sabell on  774167.

Is anyone able to offer accommodation or lodging for our next children's work student? Starting late September 2008, through to early July 2009, for a male student in his early 30s. Speak to Richard Trethewey for details (rent paid by church).

The youth team need 25 ice cream tubs (empty). If you have any you don't need please drop them into the Parish Office or leave them at the back of church on a Sunday.

We need help both providing and serving refreshments (small cakes or small savoury `bites') after the Confirmation Service on 29 June.  Please fill in one of the slips in the pews or contact Carolyn Cornfield (774657 or 07946 356904)
