Teaching
In our Toddlers’ Sunday Group we aim to provide a relaxed, informal environment and use a variety of toys, puzzles and playdough to enable the children to be comfortable away from their parents.

Each week we use familiar experiences, (eg seasonal topics such as ‘autumn leaves’ or ‘windy weather’) as a starting point for developing an early understanding of Christian principles and we provide an art and craft activity to support that week’s theme, which you and your child may enjoy discussing at home.

We also offer the children a drink of orange squash or water.  Please indicate your child’s preference. At this point we encourage them to sit down together and say a simple grace.

Please inform us if your child is likely to need the use of the toilet/potty during the Toddlers session. We are willing to assist your child in this way.

We encourage parents to collect the children promptly after the service, as waiting any length of time, once other parents have arrived, can cause distress.  We hope that the end of the session will also allow you and your child to look at the selection of books and videos available for loan.

Please complete registration details with a Toddlers’ leader to enable us to get to know your children as well as possible and make this early church experience a comfortable and rewarding one for them.  Additionally please let us know on the occasions where other adults (grandparents, aunts/uncles or family friends) will collect your child at the end of the Toddlers session.
Thank you for your help.
