Women's Breakfast

Knowle Women's Breakfasts

These breakfasts are designed as a "starter for ten" (as Jeremy Paxman would say) for those who wouldn't normally come to anything churchy or religious.

We put on a good quality continental breakfast (surveys show less than 10% want a cooked breakfast).  The speaker who follows is usually a woman who has accomplished something in her field, or has had unusual experiences that may interest others, and is able to speak naturally about her faith.

We try to keep the whole atmosphere of the breakfast "secular-friendly", not religious or preachy.  We seek to make our guests feel comfortable, not saying grace, and trying to avoid Christian jargon - the aim being that truth about God will come across naturally, interwoven with real life issues.

The whole point about these breakfasts is that people who have a Christian faith bring along with them friends and acquaintances who are not yet followers of Jesus.  Tickets are sold on this basis.

If you've not yet been to a breakfast why not give it a try? Think and pray about whom you might bring - someone who doesn't yet know God's love for them but fancies a morning away from the family, an enjoyable time eating with other women and an opportunity to think.

They are usually planned for early March and early October.  Invitations are available from Ruth Brown 770514 during the month before each breakfast. Ask for one or two and give one to your friend/ colleague/ neighbour/ acquaintance and ask if they feel like coming with you.  Let the invitation do the talking - it is often as simple as that.
